Monday Morning Dump

OK folks. The Superbowl is over, time to put football back on the shelf. Selection Sunday is only 35 days away.

Things you may have missed: Utah State's "I believe" chant gets mashed up. Northern Iowa loses a critical piece in Lucas O'Rear. Is it possible that Washington is on the bubble? Alabama could win the SEC and not make the tournament.

- Kentucky just can't seem to close out games, and that is a true sign of a young team

- Kendall Marshall recorded a record 16 assists in the tar Heels 89-69 win over Florida State. That sure is a quick way to get people to forget about Larry Drew

- In case you missed it, NC-State's Travis Leslie was suspended indefinitely for violating team rules and did not play against Duke.

- Pittsburgh's Ashton Gibbs injured his MCL in the Panthers 71-59 win over Cincinnati. Gibbs will not play against West Virginia on Monday and is scheduled to be out 10-14 days

- Kansas will likely be without Josh Selby when they host Missouri tonight. The freshman is suffering from a stress reaction in his right foot and did not play in the Jayhawks 20-point win over Nebraska on Saturday

- Suspended-Michigan State player Korie Lucious is transferring. Iowa State and Marquette seem to be the two top choices. Cracked Sidewalks debates the pros and cons of adding Lucious to the Golden Eagles squad
