Friday Morning Dump

Things you may have missed: Andre Roberson shot-fakes his way to a posterization, Durrell Summers is back to his dunking ways. UConn and St. John's are headed in opposite directions following game at MSG.

- Luke Winn's power rankings makes every Friday worthwhile

- UConn lost to St. John's by 17 last night. I think it's safe to say that the Big East finally caught up to Kemba Walker and the young Huskies. Adam Zagoria believes the Johnnies still have some work to do

- The start-times of this season's NCAA tournament games are going to be staggered so we can watch each-and-every buzzer-beater. Best.News.Ever.

As always, there are more links and maybe a video or two after the jump

- Seth Davis provides his hoop thoughts on Utah State. Sure the Aggies lost to Idaho last night, but it was their first loss in 18-games, and they have won 80-out-of-82 games at home. Utah State has a winners mentality

- Mike Miller praises the progression of Harrison Barnes, but isn't sure if he's ready to be put in the same category as Perry Jones or Jared Sullinger

- John Gasaway wonders if this is finally the year Pittsburgh makes it to the Final Four

- Mike DeCourcy uses the Rutgers/Villanova finish to debate the art of late-game fouls

- Jeff Goodman explains why the NCAA needs Duke and UNC to be at the top of their games. He also states that the Tar Heels performance against Duke doesn't exactly seem like a moral victory to them

- Jason King opens up the viewer mailbag. He discusses the Big East, Duke, UNC, and all the other college hoops hot topics. King also dishes on anything and everything SEC-related

- The rosters for the 2011 McDonald's All-American game have been announced. None of these names really come as a surprise: Kabongo, Rivers, Davis, Blackshear, Birch, Cook, Hairiston, Wiltjer, etc...

- Adam Zagoria reports that Wagner coach Dan Hurley has landed another local standout. Six-foot-eight power forward McCrory verbally committed on Thursday morning to play for the Seahawks.

- Billy Gillespie to NC-State? Yeah it's possible I guess.

- A snowstorm hit the Southeast and has forced two SEC schools to stay on the road longer than expected

- The reporter who ran with the story about the Syracuse point-shaving scandal has been fired

- A solid Q&A session with Dick Vitale regarding the weekend match-up between Ohio State and Wisconsin

- Speaking of Q&A sessions with ESPN personalities, VU Hoops sat down with Rece Davis in advance to Gameday this weekend

- Despite being in sixth place in the Big-12 and having a season plagued by controversy, Frank Martin likes his team's chances to make the NCAA tournament. Speaking of K-State, Frank Martin said Curtis Kelly will play on Saturday despite allegations that he is facing disciplinary action stemming from a school drug & alcohol policy violation

- From here on out, every game is a must-win for Maryland

- Diante Garrett is averaging nearly 18-ppg, but maybe he's not the most valuble player for Iowa State

- Duke picks up their second comittment, this time in the form of six-foot-three shooting guard Rasheed Sulaimon

- Lost Letterman takes a look back at Marquette's hideous un-tucked bib-esque uniforms

- Rush The Court checks in on the West Coast Conference, the Pac-10 Conference, and the Horizon League

I wish I could do this in high school

Of course Spud Webb can still dunk (there is no way this video is real, right?)
