Wednesday Morning Dump

Posts you might have missed from earlier: If your name is Darrius, you probably had a big dunk on tuesday night. UMass and UNC had travel issues. Michigan State loses their starting point guard. Maybe it's time we give some love to UConn's supporting cast

- As you'd expect, there's a lot of hype surrounding tonight's game between SDSU and BYU. First things first, you have to read Luke Winn as he provides some tips on how to possibly contain "The Mormon Moneymaker". Roughly 25 scouts have requested seats for the MWC-battle. The key match-up will obviously be Jimmer Fredette vs. D.J. Gay. We know Fredette is in the running for National Player of the Year, but is it possible that he doesn't even win Mountain West Conference Player of the Year. But, this isn't your typical top-10 showdown

- Parrish wrote a terrific column on Kansas and how they are dealing with the Thomas Robinson situation. You may want to wait until after you've had a cup of coffee to read it. Its definitely not a pleasant situation.

- The deal is almost done to have Michigan State and North Carolina play a game on an aircraft carrier

- Andy Katz has come up with 11 BracketBuster matchups the he believes should take place (I agree with him one every single one. All of these would be great games). Katz also discusses what the Mountaineers are going to do from here. They are down to nine scholarship athletes, and one of them has been suspended indefinitely.

- Pat Forde's 40 minutes. Must-read. Go. Now.

- Draft Express on Derrick Williams

- Dave Hess uses hype-clouds to show the Player of the Year standings. (Awesome stuff)

- Jeff Eisenberg is sick and tired of seeing all these grey jerseys

- Jerry Palm provides his prediction on the field of 68

- In Mike DeCourcy's newest "Three Pointers" column, he states that the NCAA needs to alter their policy on elbows (I totally 100% agree)

- Doug Gottlieb ranks his top five players in college hoops

- Jeff Goodman details how Memphis has faught through some early season struggles

- Kyle Whelliston provides a history lesson about Loyola's (IL) Alumni Gym

- Sports by Brooks takes a look at just how bad Auburn has been this season.

- Syracuse got absolutely manhandled by Seton Hall at home last night. This was their third loss in a row, and was the most humbling loss of the three

- No team has had a better January than The Ohio State Buckeyes

- The Golden Gopher must move on without the services of Al Nolen. They will have to rely heavily on the play of their guards

- This is a big, big, big week for the Georgia Bulldogs

- Another team with a difficult week in front of them is the Louisville Cardinals

- Arizona will be unveiling new jerseys in the near future

- Apparently there was more to Bryce Jones' transfer than we knew about before

- Did you know that Duke's Ryan Kelly has missed only one shot in the last two games? He's one of the Blue Devil's more unheralded performers

- Butler is most certainly on the bubble. Take a look at the different projections on the Bulldogs postseason hopes. This Butler teams looks eerily similar to the Davidson team from 2008-2009

- Kendall Marshall will remain the starting point guard for the Tar Heels unless anything bziarre happens

- A mid-season progress report on St. John's freshman Dwayne Pollee II. Once known just for highlight-reel dunks, Polee's game is coming along nicely in his first season in Queens

- The mid-season awards for the Pac-10 Conference

- A company ran a contest for the new unofficial Big-Ten Conference Logo, because the one they chose was just so damn ugly.

- A good scouting report on the elite recruiting prospects from the class of 2012

- It seems like everybody and their mothers have had something to say about Jay Culter's intestinal fortitude. Even Coach Krzyzewski had something to say

- Steve Lavin's wife is hot, but you probably knew this already
