Monday Afternoon Quickie

Every so often there are articles and posts that we just can't fit into the Morning Dumps. The Afternoon Quickie is where we will drop like the links that we didn't/couldn't/forgot to put in the Morning Dump.

- Lost Letterman provides their power rankings. Now while they aren't at the level of Luke Winn's power rankings (few, if any are), they are still good, and worth your perusal

- Jeff Goodman lists the remaining undefeated and winless teams. He must have read The Emery Board (Seriously, can I get a link-drop Goodman?)

- Mississippi State has a tough travel schedule ahead of them, but they will finally have the services of two of their most important players

- Seth Davis takes a look at how some of the top teams in the country manage the free-throw line

- Jacob Pullen tells "fake fans" to stop watching. Uh oh, this isn't the type of behavior I expect from the man I dubbed "The People's Champ"

- Would you buy, sell, or hold off on these Top-25 teams

- It's no secret what California head coach Mike Montgomery wants for Christmas: A new cell-phone plan

- Washington's Isaiah Thomas is a skilled point guard who has the flash and bravado to be successful. But does he provide the leadership abilities that will help his team succeed?

- Illinois coach Bruce Webber is troubled by his team's defensive performance. His team gave up 50 second half points to Northern Colorado, and this time they were inf act using a men's basketball

- Much has been made about Butler's early struggles this season, but don't write off the Bulldogs just yet

- Jason King had a solid Q&A session with UNC freshman Harrison Barnes

- Minnesota's Al Nolen could be out for four to six weeks with plantar fasciitis. That's not good news for the Gophers at all.

- Andy Katz and Eamonn Brennan make observations from the weekend in college basketball

- The one-and-done rule isn't as big of a bargaining chip in the potential NBA lockout as people think

- Wake Forest continues to be the worst BCS-conference team in the country, and their head coach Jeff Bzdelik doesn't really have any answers
