Troy went bananas with the dump this morning. This should keep you busy until at least noon.
- Jeff Borzello of the NBE recaps the National Prep Showcase: Part 1, Part 2. Hoopville provides Saturday notes from the NPS as well. The biggest news from the weekend, however, may have been Khem Birch's reclassification into the class of 2011.
- Murray State's Issac Miles plays tough while mourning the loss of his mother
- Really good read a Puerto Rican player for Nebraska making a homecoming.
- A great recap of Georgetown's win over North Carolina State in the Charleston Classic Championship game. I completely agree with Casual Hoya on the matter of Vee Sanford's lack of playing time. He has shown vast improvement from last season, and in the first four games has shown a real understanding for this offense and has been a nightly stat-filler. Markel Starks is obviously the point guard of the future. But Sanford has been outplaying him thus far, and deserves to be on the court. Because when he get's time, he always contributes in some fashion. (Ed. Note: Another guy who was impressive in Sunday's win over NC State was Henry Sims. He had a couple nice passes and made some plays on the glass.)
- Luke Winn gives us his break down of the weekend's tournament in Puerto Rico. And here is Seth Davis on the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic. I could read those two all day.
- And Andy Katz went ham on my Google Reader during his time in Maui. This is probably his best article from the trip.
- New Mexico suffered at 25-point defeat to a youthful California Golden Bear squad over the weekend, but the Lobos hope to grow from the loss.
- Mike DeCourcy previews all the match-ups in the 2010 Maui Invitational. Speaking of Maui, the tournament is absolutely loaded, the the potential showdown between Washington and Kentucky is overshadowing the other contests. While we're talking Feast Week, bookmark this schedule from Matt Norlander.
- Results from the first round of Shots from the Heart.
- A couple top-10 teams avoided serious upsets this weekend. Syracuse and Florida both had to fight back to fend off upset-minded William & Mary and Morehead State.
- Bruce Pearl believes he has seen the end of the NCAA penalties.
- John Calipari is thinking about adding a bizarre zone defense called "CalZone" to his coaching arsenal
- There's a lot of football talk in this, but its an interesting take on Bruce Pearl and Cam Newton.
- So the refs didn't hose Utah State on Wednesday night? I respectfully disagree.
- An evaluation of Kentucky's progress thus far compared to last year's team
- Indiana got two commitments from Hoosier State sophomores.
- If you want to know anything about Greg Dohrmann's new book "Play their Hearts Out" check out think link-heavy post (Which includes a link back to B.I.A.H)
- A loaded group of inductees enter the College Basketball Hall Of Fame.
- A look around the Chicago college hoops landscape
- A nice Q&A session with Hofstra head coach Mo Cassara following his team's stunning loss the Western Kentucky
- Bill Murray joined the George Mason squad for breakfast before their Charleston Classic game against Wofford
- Syracuse beat writer Mike Waters answers some solid questions in his mail bag
- John Calipari wants Terrence Jones to start playing like a man
- A quick status report of the Siena Saints
- Tulsa assistant coach Jeremy Ballard gives us a look at the player personnel of his Golden Hurricane squad
- I just have to get this one in: Adam Zagoria is a fantastic writer/reporter and may be the King of recruiting scoops. But he may even be a better father. Someone better warn Usain Bolt
