Monday Morning Dump

- ESPN's Outside The Lines featured DeMarcus Cousins: Perception v. Reality. For my money, I think Cousins will hang around the league for a while, but I don't necessarily believe he will become a star.

- Fantastic read on John Wall and his relationship with his father.

- Transcripts of a draft Q&A session with Fresno State's Paul George (Make sure you read the response he gives regarding the WAC competition)

- The Dagger is putting together an interesting list of NCAA underachievers that have had success in the NBA. DeAndre Jordan and Jrue Holiday were the first two players profiled.

- An incoming-Ball State recruit was denied access to the school even though he met academic standards by the end of the season. (Sounds like BSU is trying to wiggle out of the NLI.) However the case, Niagara U. saw no problems with his grades, and the former BSU-recruit will become a Purple Eagle.

- Cal Bears coach Mike Montgomery would not be a happy camper if his school was split up from USC and UCLA in the Pac-12.

- People in Tennessee are still fans of Tyler Smith. He got a standing ovation when he returned to Knoxville for a summer league game.

- Most NBA players go broke spending their money on cars, clothes, and women. Manute Bol went broke building schools and hospitals in his native Sudan. Few people loved and helped their country as much as Manute Bol did. RIP.

- Lance Stephenson and the NBA.

- An awesome breakdown of the high school class of 2006.

- Clearly, Jim Boylan is happy about Utah's move to the Pac-10. Hopefully, the Utah-BYU rivalry will continue.

- Top Kentucky high school player Chane Behanan will be a future star, just not at Kentucky. Behanan was named MVP of the NBA top 100 camp at UVa over the weekend.

- Tom Izzo is a hero in East Lansing.

- Longtime Mississippi State assistant Robert Kirby will leave Starkville for the Nation's capital. Kentucky signs Kenny Payne as an assistant.

- A good-read on why athletes are short-changed by the "one-and-done" rule

- Yet Another Basketball Blog details the state of coaching: 2010 edition

- Get to know recruit Luke Mergerson

- Come 2012, remember the name Ian Baker
