Penn State 69, Virginia 66: Believe it or not, Penn State becomes the first Big Ten* team to win three straight games in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge as they got 32 from Talor Battle to hold on against the Cavs. The Nittany Lions were up 55-43 with about four minutes left in the game, but Virginia made a furious rally, capped by two three pointers in the final minutes to cut the lead to one. Talor Battle, who had 28 second half points, hit two free throws and Sammy Zeglinski missed a three to end the game. Big road win for the Big Ten as they try to win their first challenge.
Kentucky 94, UNC-Asheville 57: Kentucky finally looked dominant against an inferior opponents as they utilized a full court press to open up a 80-36 lead midway through the second half. DeMarcus Cousins (24 points and 10 boards) and John Wall (12 points, 14 assists, 6 steals, and just 1 turnovers) played tremendous. But John Calipari happt for two reasons: youthful exuberance and lazy play. He said that the eight turnovers the Wildcats had was not enough because it meant they weren't aggressive enough offensively.
