Royce White: Getting his AJ Price on?

Last week, we wrote about the suspension Tubby Smith handed Royce White, a highly touted freshman forward.

Smith said White would miss at least two games, and one could only assume that it was, in part, a result of his arrest at the Mall of America on October 13th. He allegedly shop lifted then pushed a security guard that confronted him.

But was there more to it?

Today, news broke that White was facing allegations of stealing a laptop from a dorm on Minnesota's campus. He hasn't been charged or arrested, but police were "investigating a theft at a dorm and Royce's name came up."

Not good.

Hopefully, White gets cleared and can rejoin the Gophers. Trevor Mbakwe, another notable newcomer, is also dealing with legal issues and will not be suiting up for the Gophers to start the year. Initially looking like they had one of the deepest front courts in the country, Minnesota may once again head into the season without a true power forward on their roster.
