Friday Morning Dump

- In case you missed it, yesterday a picture bounced around the blogosphere showing Derrick Rose throwing up what is supposedly a gang sign of Chicago's Gangster disciples. Rose released a statement responding to the picture, saying it was just him and a friend at a party and that he is not affiliated with the gang. Me? I don't really care either way, but I do find it interesting that he has publicly responded to this picture while he is still mum on the SAT scores.

- Andy Katz caught up with new Alabama coach Anthony Grant.

- Karen Sypher, the woman accused of trying to extort money from Rick Pitino, says that she was "set up".

- USC higher-ups discuss the impending NCAA investigation. The full video can be found here.

- Steph Curry busted Jrue Holiday's ass in a workout for the Knicks.

- Idiot takes job working security for Tony Parker, steal his $20,000 autographed Jordan jersey, and tries to sell it on Craigslist. For $500. Idiot.

- Interesting theory tossed out there by Eamonn Brennan: Why not take the money of the coaches caught cheating? For guys like Kelvin Sampson, John Calipari (assuming he knew about Derrick Rose) or, now, Tim Floyd, what happens to them when they bolt right before the NCAA drops the hammer? Nothing really. Maybe taking a cut out of their fat paychecks will deter cheating on this level.

- Lance Stephenson to Maryland?

- Allen Fieldhouse of Gallagher-Iba Arena?

- "Have you asked anyone to tickle your elmo?"
