The Top Plays From The First Weekend

We love us a good highlight here at BIAH, and the first weekend of the dance was chock full of them. Here are just a few of the great and memorable plays.

If I missed one, it may just be because I could not find a video of it, but leave a link in the comments section regardless.

We'll start you off with one of the best dunks we saw all season long. You can literally see Pargo lining this one up from the minute he gets the ball at the three point line.

Sticking with Gonzaga, Demetri Goodson leads Gonzaga to the Sweet 16 by banking in a runner. This clip doubles as the best call of the weekend, courtesy of Kevin Harlan.

Cedric Jackson catches a ridiculous alley-oop against Wake Forest. Remember, this pass was thrown as a sidelines out of bound play.

"Top Flyght" Wright and Devin Ebanks had a number of big time dunks. Gus Johnson's best call of the tournament comes at the :58 mark.

Gerald Henderon takes a big hit from a Texas defender, but still finishes with a dunk. Not sure about the song selection, however. Soulja Boy and Bow Wow? Really?

This didn't count, but good lord Jonny Flynn can get up in a hurry. That looked effortless.

Hasheem Thabeet blocks a UTC player. I love his reaction after the block, staring at the guy like "Are you kidding?"

Byron Eaton sends Tennessee home after the first round with a strong drive to the rim.

There were so many big plays made in the Ohio State-Siena game, we are just going to give you the full highlight clip from CBS.

Trevon Hughes drives and scores in OT to send the Badgers to the second round.

"Ladies and Gentleman, welcome to the Stanley Robinson show"

Crazy ending to this one if you haven't seen it. Mizzou player gets fouled, but is "hurt", so he has a substitute free throw shooter. After hitting both, Lazar Hayward steps over the end line while inbounding the ball.

And finally, we give you Blake Griffin, who high-flying aerial routine would be almost comical if it wasn't so vicious.

UPDATE: We found a video of the Siena cheerleader going nuts!! I rewound this about four times when I saw it happen live.
