Question and Answer Time Pt. 1

In the last day and a half, my inbox has been over run with questions regarding the bracket, and in the interest of helping out readers make a few bucks in their pools, I figured I would try to answer as many as possible.

All I ask in return? Click on some ads people. Even bloggers gotta eat.

If you have any questions, send them to ContactBIAH@gmail.com. Q&A after the jump.

Q- How good is Luke Nevill? Will Arizona be able to handle him?

A- I am not all that high on Luke Nevill. He is tall, but a bit of a stiff, so to speak. He can't go over his right shoulder (to his left). If anyone saw the beat down BYU put on the Utes near the end of the season they would understand. That said, it is all going to depend on what Zona shows up - the one that won seven in a row or the one that lost five of their last six.

Q- Just how good is Missouri? They have good computer numbers, but the only game I have seen them play they were embarrased by Kansas. Can they compete with UConn and Memphis?

A- Mizzou is very good this year. They have athletes at every spot on the floor and utilize a 40 minutes of hell press that is as good as any in the country (they won the Big XII tourney). As far as giving Memphis or UConn a run, it is very possible. Memphis doesn't have a real point guard and a press could be very effective against them.

Q- Does UCLA have a legit shot against Nova?

A- UCLA has been to three straight final fours with the core of this team, so they always have a shot. That said, I don't see them winning. The Bruins struggle when they have to come east, and you are assuming they get by Eric Maynor and VCU. The game will also be played in Philly, which is equivalent to UNC and Duke playing in Greensboro.

Q- Which Michigan State team do you think will show up? The one that lost to Maryland by 18 and UNC by 35, or the one that won the Big Ten regular season?

A- I'm going with the ladder. MSU was not healthy all year long, but finally seems to be. There are two reasons I like them - teams with good point guard play that rebound and defend always do well in the tourney; and never bet against Izzo in the dance. That said, keep in my mind that were beaten pretty well by Ohio State in the Big Ten semi's.

That's it for now. Email more questions to ContactBIAH@gmail.com.
