-Pete Thamel from the New York Times caught up with Brandon Jennings in Rome. The highlights: Through five exhibition games, Jennings is leading the team in scoring at 20 ppg and is receiving enough coaching that he has actually been thrown out of a practice; he is making a total of $1.2 million this year in salary and endorsement (he signed with Under Armour); and he likes fettucini alfredo.
-Gary Parrish is fed up of freshman making stupid mistakes on campus, so he gives them a little bit of advice. Aren't all of these fairly obvious?
-Billy Donovan, over a year removed from backing out on the Orlando Magic, has finally signed a contract with Florida.
-A couple of interesting articles. The rising gas prices are having a huge effect on college athletics, including possibly changing the Thursday/Saturday - Friday/Sunday NCAA Tournament schedule. The New York Times takes a look at how internet videos are influencing college recruiting.
-Renaldo Woolridge, a freshman at Tennessee, is a better rapper than Bobby Maze (I still love the B-Maze video - "I can't forget about my man Cam Tatum; y'all better stop playin', y'all some potatoes")
