Tuesday Morning Dump

- Mike DeCourcy explains why Josh Selby will have to earn his starting spot for the Jayhawks. Adam Zagoria notes that Selby is anxious to get on to the court

- Seth Davis with his Hoop Thoughts column. Today, he breaks down the top teams and free throws. Interesting read.

- Demontez Stitt of Clemson will miss the next few weeks to undergo minor knee surgery. The Tigers don't play anyone too tough during that period (they may trip up against Charleston), so its a good time to get it done

- Eamonn Brennan ranks all 32 conferences, and the Pac-10 isn't the best western-oriented conference. Brennan also has some poll thoughts (I wonder if this is anything like Gary Parrish's Poll Attacks?)

- Mike Miller explains why you couldn't have possibly had a better weekend than the Louisville Cardinals

- A great breakdown of ACC coaches by the numbers

- Word on the street is that Rick Pitino is going to become the head coach of Puerto Rico's national basketball team

- I guess this is an appropriate time to re-remind you that Northwestern is the only BCS-conference school to never have participated in March Madness

- Tom Izzo is aware he schedules a tough early slate of games, but he's fine with that

- Arkansas State is going to forfeit a handful of victories from the past several seasons due to NCAA violations

- Well I'll be damned, Josh Harrellson is becomming a concern for opposing teams

- Jeff Eisenberg lists the six mid-season additions that could have big impacts on their squads. Jeff Goodman does the same

- A 2011 mock draft (unfortunately it's without a mock labor agreement)

- Vanderbilt's Joe Duffy is the king of garbage time, according to Hoopville and the total impact quotient

- Former Kentucky player Mark Krebs went into detail about all the ways Billy Gillespie was an asshole

Oregon player shatters a backboard:

Methinks this kid's going to be suspended. Fast forward to the 1:20 mark:
